ABOUT Callington
Callington Primary School's motto 'preparing children for the future' is reflected throughout the curriculum. We aim to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our students through the provision of a strong literacy and numeracy curriculum in a caring 'family' learning environment.
The value of Respect drives everything that happens at school - respect for others, respect for ourselves and respect for our learning environment.
Multi-year classes mean that students are able to work at their own level and can re-visit concepts or move forward as they are ready. Extra teacher and School Services Officer (SSO) time is provided to support all students in literacy and numeracy.
The school also has a strong environmental focus. Whole school fitness sessions are conducted daily. Chinese is our Language other than English (LOTE) and instrumental music and choir are offered. Each class has an interactive whiteboard and access to a bank of computers.
The preschool is located next to the primary school and there are strong links to the Reception class.
